Praises to the medicinal waters of the region of Busko – Zdrój, in the south of Poland, by many scientists and doctors, can be traced back to the 13th century. Ever since then, this area has seen more and more spas and clinics open their doors to welcome visitors in search of the healing properties of this area’s waters.

Today, over half a million treatments are provided every year in all the different health centres and spas located in the region. Sulphur, iodine and mud baths are especially popular.

The Bristol Hotel is one of the most modern therapeutical centres in the area. Recently built by the company HEATEC.PL Sp. z o.o., this hotel specialises in offering its clients health and beauty treatments, as well as rejuvenating therapies. Thus, the hotel was not complete without a large SPA, to deliver the wide range of treatments available.

The contracting company was very interested in keeping a quiet environment in all its facilities, adequate to the nature of the therapies provided. This was the main reason that led the team to choose URSA AIR Zero A2 for all the HVAC ducts of this modern hotel. This material’s inside surfaces are covered by a highly sound-absorbing fabric, making it perfect for the team’s needs.

CALDO IZOLACJA MTC Kraków, the project’s facility contractors, also appreciated other advantages in using these panels: they enjoy high thermal resistance, excellent acoustic absorption, guarantee outstanding indoor air quality and present optimum resistance to fire.

Furthermore, the use of panels in air-conditioning duct building presents another set of advantages, regarding reduced weight and the volume that needs to be transported to the building site. Flexibility to construct the ducts on site allows building professionals to solve any problems derived from obstacles not considered in initial planning, or related to cladding or finishing, on site, without an extra visit to the workshop.
